Department of Computer Science
The University of Texas at Austin
I'm a first-year Master student in the Computer Science Department at The University of Texas at Austin.
I obtained my bachelor in Computer Science from Shanghai Jiao Tong University. During my undergraduate years, I was intrigued by the subject of reinforcement learning, a branch of machine learning in AI. I spent about one-year learning, delving and researching on RL under the mentor and supervision of several awesome people -- I interned at Prof. Peter Stone, Prof. Rich Sutton's lab where I learned a lot, not just about RL, but doing research in science in general, from those experiences. I also interned at Tencent AI Lab where I was able to apply my knowledge in RL to try to solve some real-world problems.
After starting my graduate study, I want to step back a bit and explore all other wonderful areas in Computer science except for AI, such as software engineering, systems, networks, etc., for various reasons. Why don't you come to town and I will tell you why
